Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had everything we needed in the rooms, including complimentary drinks, bathrobes, and towels for the pool, along with nice toiletries. The small pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, although lacking ventilation and outside view, offered a cozy retreat. The rooms were different - ours was large, spacious with one wardrobe and plenty of drawers, making it quite comfortable.
I have been a loyal guest at this hotel for 18 years, and while the rooms are well presented and quite comfortable, they may need refurbishment. My room was quietly situated as requested, and despite the need for an update, it was clean, tidy, and spacious, with a good-sized bathroom. The service was overall friendly, although there were some lapses in execution from staff who lacked proper hotel training. The location was stunning, peaceful, and tranquil, perfect for a romantic getaway. The dining experience offered superb, well-presented, and delicious food, although some dishes fell short like the undercooked 'trice-cooked chips. ' The facilities were generally good, but a few details needed attention.
The hotel location is just fabulous, close to Lincoln but not in the city itself, offering stunning views of the parkland and lakes. The staff is exceptional, making the stay very pleasant. However, the room was small with limited space for suitcases, slightly affecting the overall comfort. The dining experience was fine overall, with excellent Afternoon Tea and Dinner options but with minor service hiccups noted during breakfast. The facilities are accommodating with a beautiful bright dining area.
The hotel is situated in a lovely and quiet area just outside Lincoln center, with its own resident black swans on the lakes. The rooms are spacious, although the furniture may need updating. The dining experience, while offering good quality coffee and juice, could be improved. The service is friendly but may come off as slightly indifferent. Overall, a decent option for visiting various Lincolnshire towns.
I had a relaxing weekend at the hotel, enjoying the spacious room and soft sofas to unwind. The location just outside Lincoln center was quiet, but the dining experience and facilities were a bit disappointing. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement.
I found the hotel to have its ups and downs. The rooms were quite small for the high price, located on the second floor with a lovely view of the lake, but they definitely needed a makeover as they looked tired and shabby. On the bright side, the mattress was surprisingly comfy. The pool was unfortunately out of order during my entire stay, and I wished for more variety in the nightly menu, maybe a chef's special dish to spice up dinners.
The hotel room we booked, expecting a deluxe double room described as very spacious and clean, turned out to be quite different from the website pictures. It was essentially a single room with a small double bed, feeling cramped and lacking ventilation. On the bright side, it overlooked a lovely garden and lake with geese and Black Swans, which was a nice touch.
The hotel is nestled in a tranquil setting with a beautiful garden and a lake featuring geese and 4 Black Swans. The rooms, although in need of updating and a bit warm, offer enchanting views. The service is incredibly attentive and welcoming despite the hotel being busy with various events. The location is a serene paradise ideal for relaxation and exploration. The dining options are delightful but unfortunately had limited timing availability. The facilities are well-maintained, offering a lovely swimming pool and sauna.
The hotel room was quite small, more suitable for single occupancy, and had a dated feel with peeling paint in some areas. However, it offered lovely views of the grounds and was surprisingly quiet with no disturbances. The service was a mix of lovely and accommodating behavior with a disappointing incident regarding keeping the dog in the car/van. The location was picturesque with beautiful surroundings, although some areas were less appealing due to crowding. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some buffet options not meeting expectations. Overall, the hotel had good and bad points but still provided a pleasant stay.
The hotel has a tired feel throughout with a weak shower, but the rooms are lovely with a great view. The service is exceptional, always meeting special requests and making guests feel truly special. The location is ideal for touring, although it could use a bit more attention. The dining experience offers plenty of choice but lacks some information. The facilities are satisfactory overall.
